Anyone who know me even just the littlest bit, or has read this blog even a few times, knows that 2010 has been a very big year for me. The biggest.

I am so grateful to so many people who helped me train, prepare and complete the Texas Water Safari. This race has changed my life forever. I won’t pontificate in detail the lasting effects but just know you will have plenty to read about when I finish the book in the new year.

On top of that…I have a gorgeous daughter whose star is shinning so bright these days. Plus I turned 40 in September. Not to mention….I got engaged and married! All before the close of 2010.

It’s going to be hard to top this year but before I turn turn turn the page on 2010, I thought I would do a photo flashback on what (so far) has been just about the best year of my life. And because to everything there is a season, I’ve selected a few top pics from spring, summer, fall and winter. Enjoy!

SPRING 2010

Needless to say, the Texas Water Safari was the highlight of my summer.

FALL 2010

WINTER 2010

Needless to say our small family December wedding was sublime.

We spent our first married Christmas as a family in Nashville with Little Chick, my parents, my grandmother, aunt, uncle, cousins and dear friends. The snow started falling on Christmas Eve and Nashville enjoyed its first white Christmas in 17 years. Magical.

Happy New Year one and all. I am so grateful for each one of you who dials into the blog, reads my tales, leaves a comment. I promise there will be more antics in 2011 and I will share it all with you. In the meantime I hope everyone has a fantastic New Years Eve and that 2011 brings you as much happiness as this past year afforded me.

  1. Ok, Ok…enough, I agree your daughter is the cutest, the smile is still tops in my book (many others as well) and the damn professor pitched a perfect game, all this and pretty fantistic fishing (with photos), but where the hell are my cupcakes?

  5. Chiming in a little late,but you certainly did have a good year. Hope 2011 turns out even better! Gotta agree with Monty-get a dog to start the year with. Make it a rescue pooch.
